JWEMC and Community Action Partnership are here to help

As we announced earlier, JWEMC will start processing disconnections for past due bills on June 1. However, this does not mean you have to be disconnected on this date. If you are behind on your electric bill due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is important that you contact us before June 1 by calling 256-552-2300 from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm Mon - Fri. (offices will be closed on Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day.)

To help members who find they are unable to pay a past due balance, Joe Wheeler EMC is working with the Community Action Partnership of North Alabama (CAPNA). Should you need assistance with your utility bill, contact CAPNA by visiting https://capna.org/energy-assistance/, calling 256-260-4050 for Morgan County residents, or 256-522-0019 for Lawrence County residents. Applications for CAPNA assistance are also available at all JWEMC offices, near the payment kiosks.

Please note, if you are applying for assistance with CAPNA, you will still need to contact JWEMC to let us know your application is processing.

At Joe Wheeler EMC, we understand the hardships many of our members have suffered during these trying times. We are here to help our members get back on track.
