Bringing FlashFiber to Joe Wheeler EMC members is not an easy process. It takes a team of skilled employees. Over the next several issues we will feature some of the members of our team working to bring FlashFiber to your homes and businesses.
What is your name and role with FlashFiber?
My name is Michael Cornelison and I am the director of marketing. I handle the marketing and communications for FlashFiber and also talk with members regarding FlashFiber.
What is a typical day like for you?
I work on our advertising and marketing campaigns for FlashFiber. Our goal is to make sure everyone knows when and where FlashFiber is available. I also speak with many of our members on the phone and through social media regarding the process of signing up or any other questions they have.
What did you do before joining the Joe Wheeler team?
Before coming to Joe Wheeler, I was art director for the Alabama Living magazine. I took photos for the magazine and got to visit some great places all over Alabama.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
My favorite thing about my job is getting to talk to our members — especially those who haven’t had good internet options — and getting to hear how excited they are when service becomes available.
What to you enjoy doing away from work?
Spending time with my family, especially my granddaughter. I also enjoy spending time outside doing whatever needs to be done.
